At Marys Kindy, the focus of all we do is the children.
We believe that each child should have the opportunity to have a successful life, and part of that is having access to a secure environment where they may study and develop.
Our childcare centre has been purpose-built
Our neighbourhood child care center was specifically designed with unique characteristics for both the inside and outside. The large windows and high ceilings in each room allow enough of natural light to stream into each space.
From the nursery to the preschool, every indoor area has been planned with a range of interactive, sensory, and play-based learning activities in order to follow the Early Years Learning Framework. In a setting that promotes play and discovery, the children will have the best chance to learn and grow.
Experienced staff that truly care
Practically every member of our team has worked at the centre for more than five years and comes from a diversity of cultural backgrounds.
Since we first opened in 2000, Haberfield and the surrounding communities have taken notice of our centre. Many of our returning families bring their younger children here, and they frequently refer us to their friends and relatives.

Our Approach
A Play-based Approach to Education and Development
The curriculum for our childcare programme uses a play-based approach to educate linguistic, literary, scientific, and technical ideas. Educators motivate children to pursue subjects that are both personally fulfilling and intellectually difficult by using scaffolding and Vygotsky’s Zone of Proximal Development. When introducing new experiences and maintaining shared thought, the children’s involvement is used as a guide to meet their own needs and routines. The youngsters have the opportunity to develop their abilities and explore their own creativity thanks to the constant exposure to art and music.
How We Communicate
We are able to stay in touch with parents and families via our website and electronic newsletters, fostering open communication between all parties. Our centre offers a wide range of cultures, which allows us to tailor each programme to the needs, interests, and abilities of the individual children.
Outdoor Areas and Facilities
To assist the children become more aware of their immediate surroundings and learn to value sustainability in a wider context, a range of age-appropriate play places and equipment are available outside.
Two substantial playgrounds with sandboxes, fixed play structures, herb gardens, open grassy spaces, space for a variety of mobile activities, as well as our very own art studio, are located behind our building. All required shade is given by already-existing trees and, if necessary, shade sails.
Yummy, Nutritious Meals
For the children in our care, our skilled cook creates nutritious meals every day that are made with fresh ingredients. All of your daily meals, including breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and a late snack, will be provided by the centre
